The Denco Area 9-1-1 District is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve training academy accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®), the accreditation process requires agencies to comply with the Commission’s state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas; policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services.
As part of the assessment, agency personnel and members of the community are invited to offer comments in writing and via telephone. The public may call 972-353-6397 on July 19th between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA Standards. A copy of the standards is available at the Denco Area 9-1-1 District facility, 1075 Princeton Street, Lewisville, Texas.
Persons wishing to offer written comments about the Denco Area 9-1-1 District's ability to meet the standards for accreditation are requested to write: Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. (CALEA®), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320 Gainesville, Virginia 20155 or via email at email@example.com.
