Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Examinations

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) issues licenses to peace officers, jailers and telecommunicators. After an applicant completes the appropriate licensing course for their discipline and the results have been reported to TCOLE, that applicant is then eligible to access the state licensing exam.

Denco Area 9-1-1 District serves as an examination site for TCOLE. We administer Telecommunicator, Peace Officer and Jailer licensing exams.

TCOLE Exams

Examinees must complete the required training and examination prior to licensing. The passing score for all TCOLE exams is 70%. Examinees will have three attempts to pass before being required to retake the course. Examinees will receive a printout of their results immediately after the exam.
